When we first met Mark in November of 2004,
he was dying from AIDS. In fact, as soon as
this photo was taken, he went straight back
to the bed he rarely left.
Through the involvement of Ugandan Lambs and Mark’s sponsors, he began a regimen of anti-retroviral drugs (ARVs) which began to dramatically improve his health. He was able to return to school within the year. He currently attends St. Kitzito Bugolobi Secondary School, where his principal says he’s very outgoing and works hard at his studies. He would like to be a doctor or engineer some day. As with all those living with AIDS, Mark has occasional set-backs, but his story is one of rescue and hope.
